On May 4, the deadline to register as a voter expires. The campaign encouraging young people to take out the title has had an effect and helped set records for new registrations in the first three months of 2022. But the number of 16- to 17-year-olds eligible to vote is still lower than in the last two general elections, in 2014 and 2018.
